Loving Leather

I tend to get cold very easily, I'm actually known for the amount of layers that I wear on a daily basis during the year.

With this in mind, I think it's high time I stock up on some serious leather goods to keep me warm during what I'm anticipating will be a fairly harsh Australian winter.

Coated Denim

I've been waiting to shoot this jacket for a couple of months now, I've had it on hold to use in a shoot that we finally got around to on Friday so I can now use it as my own!

Have paired it with basic rag&bone/JEAN jeans, ASOS top and gorgeous Wittner heels.

Blue Mango

Give me pretty much anything in cobalt blue and I'm a happy camper. I received this gorgeous Mango top during the week and it couldn't have come at a more opportune time. Not only has Melbourne's notorious weather been as up and down as a rollercoaster, but as mentioned in a previous post, my autumn/winter wardrobe is close to useless.

Worn with my rag&bone/JEAN black jeans and my Tony Bianco boots that I've already worn to death and will continue to do so.

Winter Woolies

Now that I'm officially freezing my rear off in Melbourne's arctic climate, I've been looking to add to my woollen coat collection. A few minutes of browsing saw me happen upon these beauties from the ever-talented Yeojin Bae.

I'm personally partial to a good pea coat, but the plum colour of the overcoat is just too good to ignore!

I love these J Brand pants. They're not only the perfect length for me, but they're also just the right amount of 'in-your-face', which makes them ideal for brightening up these dull Autumn days in Melbourne. Worn with all black pieces to enhance the effect of the eye-catching print.

Alice in Wonderland

I've been having a bit of a reminisce over some old editorial shoots done for various international glossies.

I'm borderline obsessed with this shoot, styled by the inimitable Grace Coddington and lensed by Annie Leibovitz in 2003 for US Vogue. Starring Natalia Vodianova and featuring the designers responsible for the pieces, Grace has taken an age old story and completely reinvented it.

Also, if you've read her memoir, it's fascinating hearing the dramas and backstory to this shoot!

For me, this has to go down as one of the most stunning editorials of the last (just) decade.
